Uniting Aged Care offers respite care within a number of residential facilities for short or long term stay.
This may offer carers an opportunity to take a break or it may provide an opportunity to recover from illness or injury before returning home and into the community.
Uniting Aged Care also offers Community Respite Services for clients in their home, in day programs and small group outings or overnight stays in a local residential facility. (Note: Aged Care Assessment is not required for most Community Respite programs.) Community Respite Services are funded by the Australian government under the National Respite for Carers Program.
